[[Lewis - Mere Christianity (2001)]] Objections - "instinct" - the natural law isn't just our "herd instinct" shown by two key areas: - two instincts occur at the same time but something insists on choosing one over the other. That "something" is the natural law - there is not a single right instinct all the time, much like there's not an "always right" note on the piano - setting up one instinct over all others is a surefire way to fall into despair and become "a devil" - Social convention - the natural law is more like mathematics than rules of the road - there's not a great deal of difference between cultures and civilizations' morality - there is clearly an arbiter we appeal to when judging between two groups morality.
