# "Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, for it and knowledge can raise men to the divine." ― Ludwig van Beethoven Beethoven was one of the greatest composers and musicians to ever live. His statement here expresses his own understanding of the depths to which one must go to truly be the best at one's "art." The decision to take his advice and dig into the secret spaces of my own art is not one that I want to take lightly. If I consider my "art" to be writing, then I need to accept that this means diving into all aspects of writing. I think for now, I want to focus my efforts on practicing my art and developing it into a solid habit. Once the habit is firmly established, then I will dive into the secrets of my art.
