# Who Am I?
My name is Bryan Garrison, I know who would've thought? I've been married for 16 years and we have 4 kids, three of whom were adopted from the foster system in our county. Before the pandemic in 2020, I returned to school to finish out a Bachelor's degree, and in fact finished two at once, because I was doing a lot of research and learning already so I figured why not get the piece of paper to go with it. Both of my degrees are in Religion, one is Biblical Studies and the other Christian Apologetics. I graduated *Summa Cum Laude* from [Liberty University](https://liberty.edu)and then went back to get a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Greek. My goal with the cert was really to do the basics of learning Greek before I go back to do a Master's. I really didn't want to have to learn Greek at the same time I'm trying to plan and write a thesis. I used a system similar to [[My System]] now when I was in school to help me organize my research and writing.
I moved to the Dallas Metroplex sometime in 2020 to start working for a large IT Managed Services Provider. I fully expect to stick with this company until they wheel me out the door in my hospital bed, or I win the lotto, whichever comes first. Guess I should start playing the lotto huh? The company I work for focuses heavily on serving the Christian church and non-profit space. This gives me a lot of leeway to work on tech in an environment where I can also visit with pastors, leaders, and teachers about various theological topics which is my real passion.
I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of my notes here always revolve around tech and/or religion. It's where I am most immersed all of the time so my brain naturally goes to one space or the other. In fact, trying to decide between the two is how I wound up with this page format and plan as it is. I couldn't decide whether I wanted to write a lot of theological posts or about my home lab (or my family, cooking, writing, learning in general...). So I decided to make it more of a digital garden, a public learning space, and blog all at once.
This isn't all, and there will be loads of comments throughout other notes about what's going on, but for the most up to date info you should check out [[Now|what's going on now.]]
